Clicking either the Header or Footer button displays a gallery from which you can choose a style for your header or footer. The basic layout of three positions (left, center, and right) is the first style on the palette. Notice that some styles affect only odd-numbered or even-numbered pages. Some of the styles apply tables to the header or footer, so if you click into one of these styles, the Format Tables tab on the Ribbon will activate.
When you choose a header or footer style, Word changes the interface so that you can type in your header or footer. You can display this view by choosing View→Header and Footerwithout having to choose a style from the Ribbon. To work with the interface, simply click into it and type. Click the Page # button on the Ribbon to display the Page Numbers dialog, which you can use to choose alignment and formatting options for your page numbers.

My issue is unrelated to my current OSX version (El Capitan), because I also had this problem on Yosemite.
It's just starting to get very annoying!
Let me start by describing the problem:

I have both my professional Exchange account and my personal Gmail account configured in Mail.
When opening Mail, everything looks just fine. I have my mailboxes, conversation list and my message preview.
At a certain point (there's no way -for me- to find out at which point exactly), the message preview only shows the email header (From, to and subject) and the email body is empty.
When I open the email in a new window (by double-clicking), the issue is exactly the same: no message body, only an email header.
If I close and re-open Mail, the messages are displaying just fine but it usually takes a while for Mail to close.
If I open the raw source for any email, the content is clearly there, on webmail the email looks fine also, the conversation list still shows the first few lines of the message body.
When I look at the activity monitor, the Mail process is there and, at the time of writing, there were 2 Mail Web Content (not responding) processes .

After quitting these processes, the message body is displaying again when I return to Mail (wtihout having to restart it).
Offcourse I've already been searching the internet but I could not find a proper solution. Microsoft controller mac. I found many topics about rebuilding the indexes, which I did, but these only fix the issue temporarily and I assume it's merely due to the fact Mail needs to be closed during this process.
It looks like I was able to put the finger on the problem but I am unable to find (and fix) the cause.
I hope to find some assistance on this community. Microsoft remote desktop for mac download.

PS: a few times already, my Macbook started making a loud fan-noise and started running hot. When I looked in the activity monitor, Mail was using +100% of the CPU. Force-quitting started cooling down the Macbook and the noise reduced to a normal sound (none :-) ).
